Here is the best advice on bank fishing you will ever hear. You need to locate as many run outs in your area that you can find. What I mean by a run out is every time there is a rain, it creates a current somewhere. It may be water flowing over a beaver dam, it may be a current of water coming from a smaller creek into a larger one, or it may be a stronger current coming down a stream and across a point that without the rain would not have a current in it at all. These and similar places are where bass concentrate in schools and feed on the bait fish being swept downstream with the current. I have stood in one spot before and caught over a hundred bass in one spot, but this is rare. (they were released back into the water) Most of the time a run out will produce from 2 to 10 fish, and then let it rest a few hours or a day and hit it again. The secret is to learn all you can about fishing the run outs. If one spot does not produce it, go to another one, and try the first spot again later in the day. And some places to not produce good fishing until the second day after the heavy rain.It takes them a while to gather up sometimes. In the world of bass fishing, a run out is the highest percentage spot you can find. Try it, you’ll love it!
